Data sources and licences

Poltura recognises networks from data published by others: this is how it protects forms from bots, orders from fraud, and shows where a login originated. WZZ Lab Kft. downloads this data and does not transfer personal data to their publishers.

IPinfo
The IP address data is provided by IPinfo, under a CC BY-SA 4.0 licence, modified.

Spamhaus
The data used originates from the Spamhaus Project DROP lists. Copyright holder: © The Spamhaus Project SLU.

RIPE NCC RIS
The routing data (which network announces a range, and since when) originates from the RIPE NCC and RIPE RIS, from the RIPE Routing Information Service service. RIS is a service of the RIPE NCC: its route collector points distributed worldwide — typically at Internet exchange points — collect and store Internet routing data with the cooperation of network operators; voluntary participants connect to the collector points via the BGP protocol, which record route announcement and withdrawal messages. The data is available on the RIPEstat interface, on the RIS Live real-time data stream, in the raw data files per collector point, and on the RISwhois text query interface.

X4B
The list of VPN ranges originates from the X4BNet lists_vpn project, under an MIT licence. Copyright holder: X4B (Mathew Heard), 2024. The licence permits the use, copying, modification, merging, publication, distribution, sublicensing and sale of the software without restriction, provided that the copyright and permission notice is included in all copies or substantial portions.
