Which cookies and browser storage Poltura's own sites use, what they are for, how long they last and how to change your choice.

1.1. A cookie is an information package carrying data determined by the server, which the server sends to the browser, and the browser then sends back to the server with every request. Browsers generally store cookies in simple text files (cookie files), so individual cookies remain accessible even after closing and restarting the browser. A cookie therefore means the storage of data on your terminal equipment or accessing data stored there; we treat data placed in the browser’s local storage and session storage in the same way as cookies (hereinafter collectively: “cookies”).

1.2. The publisher of this notice and the controller of the personal data processed through cookies is WZZ Lab Informatikai és Szolgáltató Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (short name: WZZ Lab Kft.) (registered office: 9700 Szombathely, Kassák Lajos utca 32/B 2. em. 3. ajtó, company registration number: 18-09-116842, registry court: Court of Registration of the Szombathely Regional Court, tax number: 33150176-2-18, EU VAT number: HU33150176, e-mail address: hello@poltura.com, hereinafter: “Provider”).

1.3. This notice applies exclusively to the Provider’s own websites and interfaces: the public website of Poltura, the login interface and the Administration Interface (hereinafter collectively: “Own Interfaces”).

1.4. Please note that this notice does not extend to cookies used on the public interfaces of Merchants’ Stores. Cookies used in Stores are governed by the Merchant’s own cookie notice; the Provider provides a technical consent management tool for this, the settings of which are determined by the Merchant. For questions regarding Store cookies, please contact the relevant Merchant directly.

2.1. Your consent is required for the storage of data on terminal equipment or for access to data stored there pursuant to Section 155(4) of Act C of 2003 on Electronic Communications (hereinafter: the “Electronic Communications Act”), unless the storage or access is strictly necessary solely for the transmission of a communication, or for the provision of a service explicitly requested by you. The giving and withdrawal of consent are governed by the provisions of Article 7 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (hereinafter: “GDPR”).

2.2. We use strictly necessary and preference cookies without consent; the legal basis for the processing associated with them is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, which is the proper and secure operation of the Own Interfaces and remembering the settings specified by you. We place statistics and marketing cookies exclusively with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).

2.3. On our public websites and pre-login interfaces, we request your consent in a pop-up window upon your first visit, with “Allow” and “No, thanks” buttons, which are equivalent. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat this as a refusal of consent and do not ask. Until your decision, or in the event of refusal, we count the visit in an aggregated manner without device-side storage, and we do not place statistics or marketing cookies.

2.4. We remember your decision in the poltura_consent cookie for one year; your decision extends to all Poltura pages. You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the pages; in the event of withdrawal, we delete statistics cookies without delay and the referral code cookie at the latest upon the next loading of the public website, and measurement switches to a mode without device-side storage.

2.5. On the Administration Interface, usage measurement and session recording take place exclusively if you have expressly consented thereto in the account settings; clause 3.10 of the PRIVACY NOTICE provides information on this.

3. What types of cookies do we use?

3.1. Strictly necessary cookies: are necessary for logging in, maintaining the session, security (including our own check against automated abuse), payment and remembering your consent decision.

3.2. Preference cookies: remember the interface settings specified by you – such as the language, display theme, time zone, the most recently used Store or organisation.

3.3. Statistics cookies: for measuring the use of our public websites, with your consent; the measurement is carried out by PostHog, Inc. as a processor, and we place the cookies on our own domain.

3.4. Marketing cookies: for preserving the referral code arriving via a campaign link until registration, with your consent. We do not use tracking codes of advertising networks on the Own Interfaces.

4. Which cookies do we use, and with what characteristics?

4.2. The lifespan indicated in the table is calculated from the placement of the cookie. The lifespan of the cookie is not identical to the retention period of the personal data processed with it; this is governed by the PRIVACY NOTICE.

4.3. In the browser’s local storage, session storage and local database, we store states and interface settings necessary for the operation of the Administration Interface and the public pages, in particular drafts, the state of interrupted uploads, navigation and layout settings, as well as remembering the analytics choice. These data remain on your terminal equipment and can be deleted at any time in the browser settings.

5. What are third-party cookies?

5.1. A cookie qualifies as a third-party cookie where it is placed on your terminal equipment not by the operator of the website you visit, but by a different provider.

5.2. On our Own Interfaces, third-party cookies are placed exclusively by Stripe, on the payment pages of the Administration Interface, for processing card payments and for fraud prevention. Information on Stripe’s data processing is provided in Stripe’s own notice.

5.3. We are not responsible for the content and cookie use of other, external websites and providers.

6.1. Most browsers automatically accept certain cookies. You can configure your browser to reject all cookies, delete cookies already placed, or clear the contents of local storage and session storage. Deletion at browser level affects future storage; with regard to your rights relating to personal data already processed, the provisions of Chapter 7 shall apply.

6.2. Please note that if strictly necessary cookies are disabled or deleted, the Own Interfaces, or their affected features – including in particular, but not limited to logging in – will not function properly. Deleting preference cookies results in the affected setting being displayed according to the default value upon the next visit, and you may specify it again if necessary.

6.3. You can read about the cookie settings of the most popular browsers at the following links:

We also highlight that certain browsers allow cookies to be restricted by adjusting security levels.

7. What data protection rights do you have?

7.1. In connection with the processing of personal data processed through cookies, you are entitled to the rights set out in the GDPR, including in particular, but not limited to the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and to object.

7.2. You can find more information regarding your data protection rights and legal remedies, as well as our other data processing, in the PRIVACY NOTICE. You may contact us with your question at the hello@poltura.com e-mail address; we will respond to your enquiry without undue delay in accordance with the procedure set out in the PRIVACY NOTICE.

8. Entry into force and amendment

8.1. This notice applies from the effective date indicated in its title. Only its title and effective date serve to identify the notice; we do not use version numbers either in the document or in the legal centre. We retain all published texts in dated archive copies.

8.2. We reserve the right to amend this notice. We will publish the amended notice in the legal centre prior to its entry into force.

8.3. A new cookie or tracking tool subject to consent may only be activated on the Own Interfaces after the list under Chapter 4 and the consent-requesting interface have been updated.
